Finally. The full picture.
Most leaders have a strong sense of how they lead. The Leadership Circle Profile adds the one thing that's usually missing: how everyone actually experiences it.
Based on proven research in leadership effectiveness, the LCP is a best-in-class, data-driven 360 degree leadership assessment that’s trusted by the most influential companies in the world.
With data from over 460,000 leaders surveyed worldwide, 3 million evaluators, and 470 million data points collected, the LCP doesn't just show you where you stand. It shows you where you rank relative to a global benchmark of leadership effectiveness.
The benchmark is clarifying, often a little uncomfortable and always a catalyst for growth.
What is the Leadership Circle Profile?
The Leadership Circle Profile (LCP) is one of the most widely used and validated 360 degree assessments across the globe. Unlike profiles that measure behavior alone, the LCP goes to the source, connecting patterns of action with the habits of thought that drive them.
It measures two primary leadership domains, Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies. Together, they reveal a leader's unique operating system - the internal beliefs running the show in both domains.
-
Creative Competencies
These well researched competencies measure how you achieve results, bring out the best in others, lead with vision, enhance your own development, act with integrity and courage, and improve organizational systems.
-
Reactive Tendencies
These leadership styles emphasize caution over creating results, self-protection over productive engagement, and aggression over building alignment. These self-limiting styles over emphasize the focus on gaining the approval of others, protecting yourself, and getting results through high control tactics.
The result is a detailed, visually immediate snapshot of your leadership: what's working, what isn't, and critically, why. Unlike most 360 assessments that take hours to interpret, the LCP reveals itself in seconds. The data is integrated in a way that brings the most important insights to the surface instantly.
Used by 45% of Fortune 100 companies and validated by independent psychometric research, the LCP is the global standard in leadership assessment methodology.
Who is it for?
The LCP is designed for leaders who are ready to see themselves clearly - not just how they see themselves, but how others experience them.
For individual leaders It's particularly powerful for senior leaders, executives, and founders who sense a gap between their intentions and their impact, and want rigorous, data-informed insight that accelerates real change.
For HR leaders and organizations The LCP provides a credible, research-backed baseline for understanding leadership effectiveness across a team or cohort. It creates a shared language for development conversations and delivers measurable data to inform succession planning, coaching priorities, and organizational investment.
LCP Manager Edition Designed specifically for mid-level managers, front-line supervisors, and team leaders, the Manager Edition applies the same rigorous framework to the specific context of leaders responsible for executing organizational direction. Ideal for organizations investing in development across multiple layers of leadership.
Not sure which version fits your situation? That's a good place to start a conversation.

How I use it
The Leadership Circle Profile is never a standalone exercise. It's introduced at the outset of a coaching engagement to create a foundation for the work ahead giving us both a shared language from day one.
The report debrief isn’t just a review of the results - It's a coaching conversation. We explore your report in the context of your actual leadership situation. Your role, your relationships, your patterns, and the gap between who you are being and who you want to become. What surfaces in that conversation becomes the starting point for everything that follows.
Your Questions, Answered
-
You'll complete a self-assessment and select evaluators including peers, direct reports, stakeholders, your boss, and boss’ boss - who will also complete an assessment survey. Once the data is collected, we schedule a debrief coaching conversation where we explore your results together. From there, the insights are integrated into an ongoing coaching engagement.
-
Yes. All evaluator feedback is reported as group averages when you have 3 or more in that particular category. There are two exceptions: your boss, and boss’ boss. Their feedback is not confidential given their leadership role in your development.
-
No - and this is important. The LCP is a developmental tool, not a performance measurement instrument. It's designed to catalyze growth and self-awareness, not to evaluate job performance. Results are kept strictly confidential and are never used in a performance appraisal context with your organization.
-
The assessment itself takes approximately 20 minutes per evaluator. The debrief is a 90 minute coaching conversation. The insights from that conversation then inform the coaching work going forward.
-
Yes. The LCP has undergone extensive psychometric analysis and has been confirmed by the Institute for Psychological Research and Application as an internally consistent, valid measure for leadership development. It is built on a universal model of leadership supported by decades of research in leadership and adult development.
